Ripple Set

This set of tables aims to merge form and function by utilizing its geometry to reflect sunlight in a manner that alters the environment of the room. Inspired by work from artist Jonathan Prince, these Ripple tables are objects that do more than just lie stagnantly in their location.

Each of the tables needed to harmonize with the other members of the family so gestural sketching and model building were essential to developing the final forms.

Building scale models helped me to understand the dimensions and scale of each individual table.

Modeled in Rhino 6.0 and rendered in Keyshot
