Munro Bag
The Munro Weekender is a flexible luggage system which can adapt to meet changing needs and environments. Our target users are small families, couples, or single adults with dynamic travel plans.
With sustainability in mind, the bag is crafted from genuine felted wool, with canvas and metal trims, using a minimal amount of synthetic materials. The price point reflects the attention to quality and ethical production.
For this design it was important to consider the material limitations of felted wool. In the ideation stage it was also critical to think about the different users and use cases, and how they might change in different situations.
Initially it was difficult to nail down the dimensions of the bag, as it had to be large enough to efficiently store goods, but also comfortable and comform to the body.
