Ena Pot

Fermentation is a practice that has been utilized throughout history -- the earliest fermentation dates back to 6000 BC and nearly every civilization since has included fermented items in its diet. The processes of fermentation have crossed cultures, but were often associated with grandparents or elders. This pot aims to bring the ancestral process of fermentation to new generations.

This design was primarily a material study so in the ideation stage it was important to consider the limitations of the Slip Casting process with high temperature clay.
