Beware Google
Motion Infographic
April 2019
Process

Step 1
To begin a story boarded the info graphic, using my topic research and transitions in mind. I did two drafts because my first one focused more on the statistics than the motion, so in the second draft I kept the motion as the primary focus.

Step 2
I used Adobe Illustrator to make the concept art for the animation, as well as the actual assets. I used this pasteboard to conceptualize and then exported the assets into After Effects via other individualized files that used the same HDTV template.
I also used cinema4d to rig and animate the hands that appear at the end of the video.
Step 3
Using After Effects, I animated each asset in separate Pre-Compositions that I color coded based on importance (the warmer the color the more important, i.e. main assets in red and text in sandstone) when compiling them into the main composition.

Step 4
For the penultimate step, I made minute adjustments to the timing, added music, Foley fx, and voiceover that I recorded and edited in Premiere and Audition before exporting with Adobe Media Encoder.
